The exterior beauty of Edgemont, while stunning, pales in comparison to the interior design of the common areas and individual units. The style remains consistent with each unit and, like the exterior, is designed with a urban contemporary, western feel. The black granite counter tops and finished wood, contrasts beautifully the dark wooden chairs and furniture. One Steamboat Place, Edgemont and Trailhead Lodge ComparedPosted on January 20th, 2010 by SteamboatReal in Condo, Edgemont, One Steamboat Place, Ski-In/Ski-Out, Trailhead LodgeA recent article in At Home in Steamboat Springs, One Steamboat Place, Edgemont and Wildhorse are commended for their successful efforts at increasing the luxury lodging available at the base of Mt. Werner. While similar in the quality of lodging and amenities offered, these three developments each have distinct qualities that distinguish one from another. One Steamboat Place has designed the interior of the community to flow with a deep red motif. This theme begins ‘at the front door and continues through the kitchen to a dining room banquette and on into one of several individual bathrooms.” While Edgemont, on the other hand gives each individual owner the opportunity to to furnish and design the interior of their vacation home. Wildhorse Meadows allows owner to ‘choose from four different color palettes and fabric selections to suit [your] tastes.’ Despite the differences in interior design, the article’s author, Tom Ross, describes the change in style of developments, where instead of the ‘lodge look and cowboys-and-Indians motif’ these luxury communities exude an ‘understated Western look of reclaimed barn timbers married with sleek light fixtures and industrial steel [which] allows art enthusiasts to show off divergent art collections.’ Concluding the article, Tom Ross summarizes that ‘taken as a group, Steamboat’s trio of new signature properties have put Steamboat well on the way to realizing its goal of reclaiming it stature as one of the most contemporary ski villages anywhere.’ For more information on the nuances between the developments, see the Steamboat Communities page Recent Construction at Steamboat Base AreaPosted on November 27th, 2009 by SteamboatReal in Condo, Edgemont, One Steamboat Place, Ski-In/Ski-Out, Trailhead LodgeHappy Thanksgiving! Hope everyone is quite full and enjoyed their holiday. I was fortunate enough to get back on the mountain for a few runs with the family. We had another great day on the mountain and tons of people were out enjoying the mountain and the weather. I thought it was great to see so many groups and families out together today, an awesome way to spend this holiday. I wanted to post a few more pictures of the beautiful day as well as a few of the new ski communities that are on the mountain. Edgemont and One Steamboat Place are nearing completion and look better with each passing day. Fun to see the progress as we are out skiing! With opening day just around the corner and everyone making their plans to visit Steamboat, Edgemont has released a tour of their new development and facilities. The tour takes you around the outside of the building, showing the fantastic views from the facility and through the model unit. With closings beginning to finalize in January, Edgemont is nearing the finishing stages of development with units becoming available for use in the near future. Check out the following link which includes a letter from Garrett Simon, the VP of development on the status of Edgemont’s development and for a virtual tour of the facilities. Edgemont Construction Update, Part IIPosted on November 3rd, 2009 by SteamboatReal in Condo, Edgemont, Ski-In/Ski-Out, tags: steamboat real estateI took a tour of Edgemont yesterday to see the sample unit and the current status of the construction around the development. The sample unit looks great, beautifully furnished with great attention to detail. A few unique features caught my eye. The door from the master bedroom to the master bath slides into place, featuring clear but opaque glass. The showers are all very spacious, featuring large rain shower heads and an area to sit. But even with unit’s beauty, the featured amenities are sure to be the best part of Edgemont. Located directly on the mountain, the gondola is a short ski down; this allows you to get warmed up for the day before your first gondola ride. After the day is done you will want to immediately jump in the pool. Providing fantastic views of the mountain and the valley, you can enjoy the sunset and the Alpenglow at the same time. Sure to be a great location for any ski vacation. Edgemont Construction UpdatePosted on October 15th, 2009 by SteamboatReal in Condo, Edgemont, Ski-In/Ski-OutA quick glimpse at the model Edgemont unit shows beauty and attention to detail that makes us excited to see the finished development. Demonstrating a chic, western-resort feel, the interior finishing at Edgemont is sure to make you feel at home. And while relaxing at night, the location of the pool will provide some of the best views of the slopes once the day is done! Edgemont in Steamboat SpringsPosted on October 8th, 2009 by SteamboatReal in Condo, Edgemont, Ski-In/Ski-Out, tags: Steamboat Real Estate BlogWith units ranging from 1 Bed/ 2 Bath to 5 bed/ 4.5 Bath and as a ski-in/ski-out complex, Edgemont might be considered great because of the location and size of the units. But the developers understood that facilities and benefits are unmatchable unless enjoyed in the company of friends and family. These units, which range from 1000 sq ft to 4095 sq ft, encourage you to bring as many family and friends as you desire. These facilities are also maintained beautifully, featuring luxury rooms down to the last detail. Outside your unit, the family game room, pool, and community fire area await, encouraging you to continue your bonding past the ski-slopes and into the night. A community that is great to come back to at night, relax with family and friends, and get excited for your next day on the mountain. ![]() Edgemont in Steamboat Springs |
