In addition to yesterdays post that included pictures of many of the lounges built throughout One Steamboat Place i also want to highlight the beautiful facilities that will be a part of this community. The spa is scheduled to open with the rest of One Steamboat Place on January 9th. The Spa is set to include ‘massage, skin care, hair and scalp treatments, hand and feet rubs, herb-infused steam rooms, couple’s massage rooms, private locker rooms, an in-residence treatment menu and much more.’ The pool and hot tub are set below the sidewalk giving you privacy and comfort you desire at the end of the day. Take a look for yourself in the pictures below. If you have any questions about this community contact me at 970-819-6930 or Jon@mybrokers.com

With One Steamboat Place opening in just a few short days, the finishing touches are now being added before the opening date. Eager to see the nearly-finished community i took a tour a few days ago was more than impressed with the final results. With no detail overlooked, the main lounge, the wine cellar, the spa, and every other room exude a feeling of class and style. I have included a few shots of the various lounges and community areas to help give you a feel for this new luxury, ski-in/ski-out development. For more information about the latest developments in One Steamboat Place contact me at jon@mybrokers.com or call me at 970-819-6930.

Improvements to the base area have extended up to the Torian Plum area. While building in parts of the Square have yet to begin, the projects that are completed look fantastic. One of the major projects on the western side of the base area is bringing Burgess Creek back up to the surface. Currently the creek flows underground next to Slopeside Grill. The plans currently call for the creek to flow in the summer and once again be diverted into a culvert in the winter.
The most notable completion thus far has been the addition of four gas firepits to the area directly next-to Slopeside Grill. These firepits are a fantastic place to sit and warm-up by during the middle of a cold day, or to relax by during a balmy summer night. Check out the pictures i took the other day and hopefully we will be seeing you out here soon, enjoying the latest improvements to the Steamboat Springs base area.

The first round of closings at One Steamboat Place have finished with $15.25 million in combined sales. These closings represented 10 residence club sales totaling $4.45 million and three whole-ownership sales that combined for $10.8 million. Project Director Chris Burden says they expect “to close 100 transactions within 30 days… some buyers…have asked for additional days to work on the details of their financing.” Exciting to see the first successful steps for this development, and I am looking forward to seeing this continue throughout the winter. Chris Burden shares this optimism predicting 80% occupancy throughout ski season, fantastic for their inaugural season.

Happy Thanksgiving! Hope everyone is quite full and enjoyed their holiday. I was fortunate enough to get back on the mountain for a few runs with the family. We had another great day on the mountain and tons of people were out enjoying the mountain and the weather. I thought it was great to see so many groups and families out together today, an awesome way to spend this holiday. I wanted to post a few more pictures of the beautiful day as well as a few of the new ski communities that are on the mountain. Edgemont and One Steamboat Place are nearing completion and look better with each passing day. Fun to see the progress as we are out skiing!

Even with the few snow we received last night, the construction on the Wildhorse Gondola continues. Pushing hard to reach the February opening date, the construction began early this morning and i stopped to take a few pictures on my drive to work. The base of the gondola is taking shape, as can be seen in the pictures above, and a few guide cables have been placed over the pilons. The new cables are a bit difficult to see as the snow is continuing to fall today. New snow is exciting to see with opening day is just around the corner!

A great tour of the exterior of Improvements to the base area.
“Touring the New Base Area Developments”
The new base-area developments at Mt. Werner are looking great and should add significant improvements to the overall structure of the base area. One Steamboat Place is looking to add not only a luxury development to the base, but is also helping improve the overall the base area structure. Integrating in a large plaza, great for meeting up at the end of the day, along with a new area for the Ski School Ticket Office, the new development will flow right into the current Ski Time Square. Take a look at a few great pictures at the link above to see the exterior improvements for yourself!

With the projected finish date in the beginning of February of 2010, things appear to be progressing smoothly for the gondola construction in Wildhorse Meadows. Most noticeable are the two beams placed on each side of Mt. Werner Rd. marking where the Gondola is set to cross. Great to see this project moving according to plan. Things will start to get really exciting when the gondola cars appear at the base, but i think we still have some time. I will definitely keep you posted as the construction continues.

I took a tour of Edgemont yesterday to see the sample unit and the current status of the construction around the development. The sample unit looks great, beautifully furnished with great attention to detail. A few unique features caught my eye. The door from the master bedroom to the master bath slides into place, featuring clear but opaque glass. The showers are all very spacious, featuring large rain shower heads and an area to sit. But even with unit’s beauty, the featured amenities are sure to be the best part of Edgemont. Located directly on the mountain, the gondola is a short ski down; this allows you to get warmed up for the day before your first gondola ride. After the day is done you will want to immediately jump in the pool. Providing fantastic views of the mountain and the valley, you can enjoy the sunset and the Alpenglow at the same time. Sure to be a great location for any ski vacation.

I took a tour yesterday to see how the construction was coming in One Steamboat Place. After yesterday’s high-blowing winds, many workers were on the outside cleaning-up some extraneous building materials. Once inside though, we could all see how the hallways and rooms have taken shape and are looking fantastic. The excitement from the construction managers who gave us the tour was contagious, I couldn’t help but get share their enthusiasm for the building. They commented how the change in noise, from the previous whir of saws to the now-loud vacuum cleaners was exciting; the finishing touches are now beginning. Scheduled to be completed in its entirety by January 9th. Of the 80 possible ownership opportunities only 2 full ownership units remain along with about 20% of fractional units. Also offering 50 social memberships at this time, OSP is hoping to find the balance between always occupied facilities but also amenities that are never crowded. A social membership will provide access to all the facilities, allowing you to park, grab your stored skis and call and schedule a massage for after a day on the slopes. For a full list of what units are still available or more information on a social membership please contact me (Jon) at 970-819-6930 or jon@mybrokers.com
