The snow is ‘scheduled’ to begin at 3am. Continuing on through the next 10 days, everyone is hoping that Mt. Werner gets hit hard. “The Two storm systems expected to hit Steamboat Springs this weekend could blanket Mount Werner with more than a foot of snow by Tuesday afternoon.” While as of now the mountain is maintaining the position that new runs will not be open until the storm passes through, they are getting ready. Sitting on Christie Lift today i chatted with a few friends about what were most likely to be runs open next. I saw Thunderhead running this morning, and my friend swears he saw Storm Peak running late this afternoon. Only the next few days will tell which runs are actually next. Hopefully this storm will be big enough that we are all right!
